Allan plays too loud for me anymore! Of course he's a great player, no denying that, but music to me has to do something to my heart, being and soul, instead of just how well one can play, or how many techniques are used, etc.
Isn't that what music is "all" about?
His Synthaxe at Gilly's in Dayton, OH years ago really turned me off, it was like a noisy street in NY!
Then again, some people love Johnny Cash, but to me it's terrible! Guess it's all personal preference...

Just caught Holdsworth, Wakerman and Tibbs at the Vandyke in Schenectady NY. What a show! Their combined talent was as good as anything thats out there. Holdsworth is in a class with only a few others. Gambale, Bonamassa, Steve Morse,Stolt.

Too loud? What a douche bag!! If you don't like the music or if it's to loud for you senior citizen, 90 year old ears, don't listen bozo! Do us all a favor and stop being a buzz kill! Allen please come to California!!!! Favorite guitar player hands down!!

I finally saw one of my favorite guitarists at The Tralf in Buffalo,NY this past Sept.28,2010. As i listened to him and Wackerman and Tubbs i could`nt just sit there so i whistled along (not loud)with the music and after the first set Holdsworth shouted "who`s the f___king a__hole whistler, get him the f___ out of here"! I had a feeling something weird was gonna happen..and it did! Wow!
