International music critics and rock gourmets agree: King’s X is among the most unusual acts in the history of rock music. Their technical skills are above reproach, and their creativity has impressed fans and media alike. Next to Rush, there is currently no other rock trio capable of producing such a dense and at the same time transparent sound. The much anticipated double CD/DVD set, Live Love in London, showcases prime examples of King’s X’s incredible live show of classic groove rock featuring great melodies with vocal harmonies, driving rhythms and tough guitars. The album is set for an Oct. 26th release through InsideOut Music and will be available as a deluxe DVD+2CD edition in a special embossed package, as well as a 2CD set. A standard DVD-only version will also be available exclusively through CMDistro.com (http://CMDistro.com). Live Love in London is the first official DVD release by a band renowned for just such a transcendent rock show! The King’s X trio of Ty Tabor (guitars, vocals), Dug Pinnick (bass, vocals) and Jerry Gaskill (drums, vocals) have spanned continents and decades together, honing their craft, welcoming their fans in to experience inspired performances that come from their hearts.
Live Love in London was shot in January of 2009 at the Electric Ballroom in London, UK, because, as Tabor states, "London was the first place that accepted King's X. It has always been my favorite place to play." Pinnick recalls, "We were touring the US, playing for very small crowds, then we went to London; it was the Marquee and it was sold out!" Gaskill agrees, “London was the first place to make me feel like we might actually be a valid band.”
The band are also extremely excited to embark on a co-headlining run with metal legends Accept, which kicks off on Sept. 23rd. Either see below or head over now to http://www.kingsxrocks.com or http://www.facebook.com/kingsxfanpage to view their touring itinerary. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for samples of new music from Live Love in London and pre-order package info.

Dream Theater: Chaos in Motion DVD/CD sets forthcoming
From the press release:
Few bands inspire such fanaticism among their fans as Dream Theater. The best way to satiate this dedicated legion is to provide them with even more material to devour and Dream Theater are doing just that this September. The band will release Chaos In Motion 2007/2008, which documents their "Chaos In Motion" world tour, which kicked off June 3, 2007 at the Monsters of Rock Festival in Milan, Italy and concluded almost a year to the day later on June 4, 2008 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It's essentially a travelogue of their most recent touring experience and it hits shelves on September 23. Chaos In Motion 2007/2008 will be available in two configurations: as a double DVD set and as five disc collector's set which includes two DVDs and three CDs, containing 14 live tracks featured in the DVD set and expanded artwork.
The Chaos in Motion Tour was a trek that found the band traversing the globe, playing 115 shows in 105 cities in 35 countries on five continents to hundreds of thousands of fans. It also included the first annual Progressive Nation Tour, an idea that the band had kicked around for a few years and finally launched into action this past spring.
Chaos In Motion 2007/2008 is the latest in a series of DVDs from the band and it features performances captured throughout the entirety of the tour, unlike their last three RIAA-certified Platinum DVDs, Metropolis 2000: Live Scenes From New York, Live at Budokan and Score, all of which focused on as single concert event.
Drummer and DVD creative director Mike Portnoy plumed his personal archives for footage in order to provide fans with the ultimate tour souvenir. He assembled over three hours of complete live performances, taking footage from shows in Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, Toronto, Boston, Bangkok and Vancouver. The tracks were mixed and effectively brought to life by Kevin Shirley. The second disc is packed with bonus material, including promo videos, live screen projection films, a photo gallery and a 90-minute documentary that'll make you feel like you're riding in the passenger's seat of the band's tour bus, as it takes you on the road and behind the scenes with the band and crew. It's like a virtual backstage pass that grants fans further unprecedented access.
The official content and tracklisting for the DVD are as follows and are subject to change:

“Around The World In 180 Minutes” Live Concert Footage
1. Intro/Also Sprach Zarathustra

Some notes:
Booklet with new photos and liner notes by Aymeric Leroy and Renato Moraes will probably make part of this wonderful package!
The piece marked with * used to be presented as the encore and sometimes named as L'ETRANGE MIXTURE DU DOCTEUR SPOCK and it is a more weird-free version over the classic DOCTEUR SCHWARTZ!
Andy Kirk thinks this version of THE FUNERAL PLAIN is the best ever performance of this piece! And if you think PRESAGE is energetic enough on UZED, wait to listen to this live version!
Hold your breath!
More concerts to be announced soon!

GENESIS To Return To The Big Screen For Launch Of Upcoming Live DVD
According to Lars Brandle from Billboard.biz, GENESIS is making a return to the Big Screen for the launch of their upcoming live DVD.
The prog-rock veterans, who hit the road for a famous comeback last year on the Turn It On Again tour, will participate in a special Q&A session next month which will be beamed via satellite live into 20 Odeon cinemas across Britain, the band's manager Tony Smith tells Billboard.biz.

On the day, the band - comprising Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks - will take questions from the audience, but will not perform.
The on-screen event is expected to take place May 20, ahead of EMI Records' May 26 release of the David Mallet-directed DVD When In Rome 2007, which captures the tour-concluding July 14 concert at Circo Massimo, which drew an estimated 500,000 fans.
Genesis explored the cinematic route when the Düsseldorf, Germany leg of last year's tour was cinecast live in digital high-definition quality and surround sound to Vue cinemas in the U.K., and a raft of movie houses on the Continent.
"It was very effective for us, and we learned a lot from it," Smith tells Billboard.biz. "If we were to consider doing something else again of a special nature, where we wanted to set up in one place and do an extended run, then that would be a way to go."
The When In Rome 2007 DVD digi-pak will contain a 28-page booklet, and carry more than five hours of content on two concert discs and a documentary DVD.
